Award winning author, entrepreneur and women’s empowerment champion Dr. Remmie Male will deliver the keynote address at the Uganda Tristate Community Association (UTCA) Cultural Festival, where she will speak on “Social Capital: A Tool to Build a Lasting Legacy.”
Hosted by the Uganda Tristate Community Association (UTCA), the festival will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Overpeck County Park, 40 Fort Lee Road, Leonia, New Jersey, bringing together Ugandans and friends of Uganda from across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for a colourful celebration of culture, music, dance, food, networking and family entertainment. The festival will be headlined by the renowned Sam Nalangira Cultural Dance Troupe, whose performances showcase Uganda’s rich cultural heritage through traditional music and dance.
A respected voice in leadership and entrepreneurship, Dr. Male is the author of Gangos, Frenemies, and Pivoting in Heels Uganda, all available on Amazon.

Through her writings, she explores the power of networks, the importance of healthy relationships and the stories of women breaking barriers in leadership and business.
Dr. Male is the Founder and Executive Director of Women of Valor Foundation and Jamboree et Rendezvous, and the visionary behind Beauty for Ashes and Tender Warriors Ministries. She is also an executive coach, motivational speaker, business mentor and advocate for financial and media literacy, with interests spanning business incubation, construction and real estate.
A graduate of Makerere University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and the recipient of an honorary doctorate from VCU in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Male has built an international reputation for empowering women, youth and entrepreneurs.
She currently serves as Continental Secretary General of Commonwealth Business Women Africa, Global Secretary General of Pivoting in Heels, Vice President Africa of the Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry, and leads several initiatives promoting leadership, economic empowerment and sustainable community development.
Her work has earned international recognition, including selection as one of the U.S. State Department’s Global Community Leaders under the IREX Community Solutions Programme, recognition as a Vital Voices Global Women’s alumna and a nomination for the Desmond Tutu Award.
