Among Affected Countries Canada has introduced temporary border and travel measures in response to the ongoing Ebola outbreak, with Uganda among the countries directly affected. The new restrictions target residents of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and South Sudan as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.
Under the measures, immigration documents including visas, electronic travel authorizations, and permanent resident travel permissions for residents of the affected countries will be suspended for 90 days. Some immigration applications are also expected to face temporary pauses.

Canada also announced that from May 30 through late August, eligible travellers arriving from affected regions who show no symptoms will be required to undergo a 21-day quarantine, while those showing symptoms will face isolation and further health assessments.
The Canadian government says the measures are precautionary and intended to reduce the risk of cross-border transmission as global health authorities continue monitoring the Ebola outbreak.
